Is a gas safety certificate a legal requirement?
Yes. Under the Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998, landlords must have gas appliances checked every 12 months and give tenants a copy of the record.
How much does a CP12 cost?
£59 for the first appliance and £15 for each extra appliance.
What happens if something fails?
